Volunteer Opportunities

Peace Corps Partnership Program
The Peace Corps Partnership Program provides a link between U.S. contributors (or Partners) and requests for project assistance from the overseas communities in which Peace Corps Volunteers serve. Through the Partnership Program, Peace Corps facilitates the active participation of Americans in the development process, promotes community action and involvement both overseas and in the United States, and fosters greater international understanding through cross-cultural exchange.

Peace Corps Week:  A Development Education Opportunity Peace Corps Week, on the first week in March, commemorates Peace Corps' anniversary. Special events on that week include classroom visits by thousands of returned Peace Corps Volunteers in schools across the country, sharing their experiences and insights with students in all grades.

Global TeachNet (GTN):  The "Third Goal" of the Peace Corps is to bring a global perspective back to the United States. The National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) - the network of alumni, family and friends of the Peace Corps - launched Global TeachNet to directly implement that global perspective in U.S. classrooms.  The objective of Global TeachNet is to promote students' knowledge of, understanding of and respect for the people, cultures and nations of the world.  Global TeachNet members are educators and other interested people. Many of our members are Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and others with international or intercultural experience.

50 Ways to Serve Friends of Morocco

Help us find the lost volunteers  Friends of Morocco has a database with the names of almost 3000 persons, most of whom were Peace Corps volunteers in Morocco.  There are some 500 persons with whom we have lost contact.  Please review our lost alpha member list or our lost YOS member list and let us know if you have any contact information.  If you are proficient with electronic data searches on the WWW, you can help us locate some of these people.  The list takes about 40 seconds to load at 56K
