Join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Peace Corps in 2001 and 39 years of service to Morocco by over 4000 Peace Corps volunteers and staff on Saturday, September 22, 2001 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the invitation of Embassy of Morocco at the Residence of His Excellency  Ambassador Abdallah El-Maaroufi and Mrs. El-Maaroufi

Space is limited so contact (703) 660 9292 or Tresch@att.net  for reservation, questions and directions.  While recommended, Conference registration is not required to attend this reception, however, current membership in Friends of Morocco is required.  Membership status is noted on the Winter 2001 Newsletter mailing address.  Friends of Morocco membership information and application forms, including electronic payment to NPCA and Friends of Morocco, are available at http://home.att.net/~morocco/memberinfo.html.

The Ambassador's residence is at 9109 Clewerwall Dr, Bethesda, MD.  See Mapquest at neighborhood, area and city scale for directions.  From Washington, DC:  take Massachusetts Ave to Goldsboro Road; turn right on Goldsboro Road at the end of Massachusetts Ave; Turn left on River Road (towards Potomac); turn right on Clewerwall Rd just past the fire station; bend to the right to the last house.  From Beltway 495:  take exit to River Road (190) on Maryland side; go towards Potomac on River Road past the fire station; turn right on Clewerwall Rd; bend to the right to the last house. 

Personal vehicle is the best way to arrive.  The nearest metro station is at Grosvenor-Strathmore and taxis are available from there.  For assistance in carpooling, call carpool coordinators Mike and Jean Hickey 301 593-7861 or email Jeh217@aol.com.
